Ocnophilia, 2006

Ocnophilia is an independent publication and part of a larger project that also contains a series of drawings and an animation video.

During an artist-in-resicency in Kolderveen through Fonds BKVB I developed a cyclus of drawings based on my fascination for alienating architecture and for psychological horror movies that deal with the connection between the mind and the body, (sexually) transmittable infections, parasitism, and processes of transformation. The video is made from a selection of these drawings. The book is an intermediary between the video and the drawings, arriving at a wordless 'sequential narrative'.
